CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

The mission of Christian Education for children and youth at St Paul's is to help nurture a community that encourages a deepening relationship with God and one another. Children and youth experience God through stories from the Bible, and through worship, prayer, service, and fellowship.

CHILDCARE (Up to 3 years old)
Young children are a cherished part of the worshipping community at St Paul's and are welcome in worship upstairs every Sunday. Alternatively, if it is preferred, a dedicated and trained childcare provider will greet you and care for your children during the 10 am service in the nursery downstairs.

GODLY PLAY (ages 3-11)

What is Godly Play?
Godly Play is an imaginative, Montessori-based method of presenting holy scripture to children that has been embraced by both children and teachers at St Paul's. Through Godly Play, children encounter biblical stories, experience silence, and learn the language of liturgy used in church. Children are encouraged to seek and find their own answers to questions. As they wonder about the stories, they begin to know God, know more about themselves and others, and find direction in their life. Spiritual growth is nurtured as children encounter God.

Godly Play meets on Sundays during the school year at 9:55 am in the lower level classroom area. Children join the parish upstairs in worship on a regular basis as well.

YOUTH (ages 11-14 / High School)

Youth aged 11-14 meet Sundays at 10 am for Bible-based conversation, prayer and fellowship.

High-school youth worship in church and gather throughout the year for worship, fellowship, retreats, service, and in preparation for Confirmation.

Youth also serve as acolytes, ushers, and readers and participate in the special liturgies during Lent, Easter, and Christmas.

Summer camp at the Barbara C Harris Camp in NH is a popular way for tweens and teens to grow in faith and have fun.
