That's what our St. Paul's volunteers cooked and served for breakfast at St. Luke's Community Dining in Chelsea on August 3rd. Headed up by Jim Rosato, the team of Jonna Casey, Carolyn Shea, Kwame Ofori-Asante, and Karen McAlmon fed 62 people for breakfast and then 98 more at lunch (with 26 lbs. of pollock, 12 lbs. rice, 25 lbs. peas ... and more!)
The St. Paul's crew at St. Luke's needs more volunteers. Many hungry people depend on the Community Dining Room in Chelsea, and many helping hands make light work. Please consider reserving time to help out for breakfast (7:30-10:30 a.m.) and/or lunch (10 a.m.-1 p.m.) the first Saturday of each month. The next opportunity to help will be Saturday, Sept. 7. Please contact Jim Rosato or sign up on the board in the Great Room.
