Gospel Music Sunday

One of the great American sacred music traditions is Gospel Music, a genre associated with the African-American tradition, but now much more widely embraced. With its emphasis on singing and on accompaniments other than organ, this music is uplifting and exciting, and St. Paul's is pleased to be featuring it during our 10AM worship service on Sunday, November 17th. The choir will sing some gospel favorites including arrangements of "Amazing Grace"  and "There's a balm in Gilead;" and the congregational hymns will include favorites such as "Lift every voice and sing," and "Hush, hush, somebody's calling my name."

The choir will be accompanied by piano, bass and percussion. We hope you can join us for what promises to be a special way to end our annual stewardship campaign.
