Living in Divine Presence: An Introduction to Contemplative Prayer Practices

Come refresh your mind, body and spirit. Explore divine presence within you and all of creation.

All are invited to join in an upcoming five-part series on Living in Divine Presence: An Introduction to Contemplative Prayer Practices, hosted by St. Paul’s. The five sessions will be on Sundays (Feb. 16, Feb. 23, March 1, 15, and 22) from 1:30-3:00 p.m. and will be led by Rosemary Shirley, Coordinator of Contemplative Outreach of Boston.

In addition to her role at Contemplative Outreach of Boston, Rosemary attends Shalem Institute, leads contemplative groups and retreats, and has accompanied spiritual seekers on their journeys.

During each session, participants will use different contemplative practices to open themselves to their “deepest, truest self in God,” the “home of God” in us. Sessions will include experiences of breath, sound (including chanting), silence, movement, seeing, creating, meditation, and prayer.

Participants will provide support to each other in silence and in discussion. Journals will be supplied and used for personal reflections during each session.

For registration, email Rosemary Shirley or call 781-244-8364.
